HearHer

Restoring the voices of women silenced

A WiseWOMAN Studio Podcast

Hosted by writer, researcher and educator, Donna-Marie (Dee) Donaldson

LAUNCHING February 2026

HearHER is a long-form storytelling and analysis project. It centres women’s first-person accounts, and examines what becomes visible when voice is constrained; in relationships, workplaces, institutions, and culture. HearHER isn’t a platform for confession, spectacle, or for promotion, but for meaning: how power operates, how harm is normalised, and how women’s agency is eroded over time through harmful interpersonal and systemic dynamics.

Guest Invitation:

HearHer is a storytelling project created by WiseWOMAN Studio.
It offers women a respectful structured space to share their stories - in her own time, and in her own words.

If you are a woman who has experienced being silenced through coercive control, within a relationship (including partners, family or friends), or by an employer or organisation (including military, government or emergency services), and would be interested in sharing your story, including anonymously, as a guest on HearHER, reach out at the link below for further information and to arrange for an informal ‘no-obligation’ conversation.

HearHER also welcomes enquiries from women whose work intersects with voice, power, and institutional harm; including writers, journalists, researchers, academics, and senior practitioners in relevant public systems; where the conversation can illuminate patterns beyond a single case.

If you’re considering participating, you’re warmly invited to make contact and register your interest.

At this stage, HearHer is welcoming enquiries only.

Recording conversations will commence from February 2026.

Once a potential guest expresses interest, she will be contacted at the earliest opportunity to:

  • talk through the project in more detail

  • answer any questions she may have

  • and explore whether participation feels right for her at this time

There is no obligation to proceed. Enquiring does not commit you to taking part.

Guests may choose to identify themselves as much - or as little - as they are comfortable with. Options for anonymity will be discussed if participation goes ahead.

All enquiries are handled discreetly and confidentially.

Additional participation guidance

To protect the wellbeing of everyone involved, HearHER is intended for women who feel emotionally safe and stable enough to share their story in a public or semi-public format.

At this time, participation would not be suitable for women who are:

  • feeling currently overwhelmed or emotionally unsafe to speak publicly or semi-publicly

  • struggling with urges to harm themselves or someone else

  • experiencing frequent disconnection, blank spells, or losing time

  • currently navigating an unsafe or escalating relationship, workplace, or system

If this applies to you, your safety and support matter more than participation. We strongly encourage you to seek appropriate professional or crisis support before considering involvement.

Information about support and crisis services (Australia) is available on the Available Support page of this website.
For women residing outside Australia, please contact your local emergency services, counselling services, or domestic abuse advice lines.
